Day 05 – A book that makes you happy

10060196It Started with a Kiss – Miranda Dickinson

I’m an utter romantic. Ask anyone of my friends and they’ll agree with me.

I love thinking that my soul mate is out there somewhere, looking for me too.
I love to be romanced.
I love to be loved.

I think that’s why this story makes me happy.

It about having that brief moment’s kiss a stranger who turns your world upside down. Makes you feel things. But then he has to run off before you get his name, or learn anything about him. But he’s all you can think about because you knew, in that moment, you both felt the same way, despite it only being a kiss.

I loved the journey and focus that Romilly had for trying to find her knight in shining armor and the guy who blew her away with just one kiss. She gives herself a year to find him and if she doesn’t find him, she’ll get over her quest and get on with her life. She has support all over te place, from her friends, to her aunt and uncle, even a massive follow on her blog for her search of him.

I loved how much determination she had because the guy changed up her feelings.

It’s such a perfect and beautiful fairytale of a book and when i think about it, it makes me smile how she finally ended up with the guy who felt exactly the same way as she did.

She yes, this is the book that makes me happy and makes me think that (although its fiction) if that happened to me, that i;d have the  support and determination Romilly had to find her perfect guy despite not knowing a single thing about him, but wanting to find out who he was and if he felt the sparks she did too.

Day 02 – A book that you’ve read more than 3 times

So, I have to admit, I hardly ever re-read, only because I have SO many books on my kindle to read that I don’t have chance to reread. But the one book I do that is on my Kindle App on my Iphone is called “Seven Sexy Sins” by Serenity Woods. I discovered this book last year in June before my holiday and I literally love it! I haven’t written a review for it just yet, but this is the synopsis…

13602303The road to passion is paved with guilty pleasures.

Faith Hillman is in a bit of a pickle. She’s been commissioned to write a series of magazine articles on spicing up your love life. She’s got the theme—the “Seven Sexy Sins”—but there’s one major problem. She hasn’t experienced any of them.

Ever since Faith’s older brother gave Rusty Thorne a black eye for kissing her on her eighteenth birthday, he’s kept his distance, waiting for the right time to make his move. This is it. She needs a research partner? He’s the man for the job.

When sex-on-legs Rusty offers his services, Faith is all over it—with one caveat. The notorious heartbreaker must sign a confidentiality contract. Just to keep him safe from her brother’s wrath, of course…and her heart off Rusty’s long list of conquests.

As they work their wicked way through the list, the implications of the contract hit Rusty as hard as the handcuffs binding his wrists to the bed. It isn’t just Faith’s touch that rocks his world. It’s the way his heart likes it that blows his defenses out of the water. And makes him wonder, when the contract ends, if he can bear to let her go.

Yes, its a sexxxxxxy book, but to be honest with you, its so much more than that too. It takes both Faith and Rusty on a journey. A journey of love and acceptance . A journey to unleash what was always inside of you, yet you just never had to chance and a journey where you are nothing like you thought you were. That you are worthy of being loved.

I really recommend buying this book. The sex literally pours off the book, the sins are deliciously hot, the chemistry is smoking and the journey they both take leads them to becoming the best people they can be.

So you can see, my re-read is a sex book, but come on, we all have one of those 😉

Day 01 – Best book you read last year

In 2012, there were a hell of a lot of books I read and absolutely loved. But one that really pulled me in, made me want to be on that road trip, pulled and pushed my emotions in all different directions and made me sob my heart out at the end, was The Edge Of Never – J.A Redmerski. You can find my review HERE

“For the first time in my life, I’ve felt whole, alive, free. You were the missing piece of my soul, the breath in my lungs, the blood in my veins. I think that if past lives are real then we have been lovers in every single one of them. I’ve known you for a short time, but I feel like I’ve known you forever.”

THIS QUOTE! I absolutely love it. Andrew and Camryn were really meant to meet. They brought out the best from each other, taught each other how to live and also how to love.

“Have you ever wondered what it would be like to backpack across the world? Just you and a backpack with a few necessities. No bills. No getting up at the same time every morning to go to a job you hate. Just you and the world out ahead of you. You never know what the next day is going to bring, who you’ll meet, what you’ll have for lunch or where you might sleep.”

This book made me think about my life. How it’s really not going anywhere and that if given the chance – and the money – I would get on the first bus/train/plane anywhere and have my own adventure. (And hopefully bump into my own Andrew Parrish along the way!)

I literally cant say enough about this book because you really do go on a journey with these characters. You feel everything they do, you think about your own life when they think about theirs. It such an amazing, emotional and passionate book that if you haven’t read it, where the hell have you been? And why haven’t you fallen in love with Andrew Parrish yet?!
