My Review

From Backstage Pass, I was hooked to the Sinners series. I relished in these books, impatiently waiting for the next books to be out and now its all over. The whole series has been published and I have fallen in love with each member, each girl and each story of the five members.

Their hardships, their band, their accidents, but more importantly, the way they love. Love one another and their prospective partners. Despite being a rock band, they are best friends; they banter, they pull pranks but they are always there for one another and I think that’s what I loved about this series too (okay okay, the smoking hot sex played a big part too)

Wicked Beats is actually the forth book in the series, but was released last. It’s about Eric or Sticks to everyone else and he is the drummer and unlucky in love. He’s the member who likes to watch the others have sex…maybe participate but more than likely watches. We find out about why he does this in Wicked Beat and your heart will feel for him! Bless him so much but Rebekah helped him through overcoming his ‘bedroom problem’ in the greatest way how…lots of sex.

We have all read about Eric during the five books, got to know him, his personality, his pranks, his protectiveness, his jokey side, his banter, his sexual prowess but what we really want is his happy ending. For him to find the love of his life, much the same as his fellow bandmates. Enter Rebekah. From the first moment he laid eyes on her, he was hooked. He wanted to get to know her, was totally on board with her filling in for Dave, her brother whilst he recovered, because he wanted to get to know her, and wanted her, only problem is she wants Trey.

Eric is protective of her, wants to know her, spend time with her but really, just wants to call her his own. The bandmates spot this and do whatever they can – under cover – for Eric and Rebekah to spend this time together and actually get it on. Trey and Sed have a big helping hand in this.

Eric is such a sweetie. We all know his as the pervert who likes to watch his bandmates have sex and says whatever comes into his mind but underneath all that, he is so cute. Yes he doesn’t have a filter and makes really bad sexual jokes but Rebekah likes him for that, she gets him and the jokes, even joining in with them. The two of them are a perfect fit together. They help each other in ways neither thought they could, each with their pasts, and in turn, they both fall in love. But with every book, there is, of course, something that has to get in the way. But Eric will fight until the end to make sure he gets the girl who has stolen his heart.

Rebekah is fresh out of college and now her big brother Dave is injured, she wants to fill in for him as the Sinners soundboard operator. She knows she can do it, and so can Dave, its just convincing the guys she will do a good job. She’s always had a thing for Trey and in a way going on tour with the band is her way of trying to get Trey to want her too. Rebekah is crazy and funny but she’s also insecure due to her past relationship and so she wants to feel sexy, she wants to be wanted and she owns herself by being direct in wanting what she wants. She wants the power but she wants to feel beautiful too.

Despite wanting Trey, she is drawn to Eric. They both help each other out in the bedroom and Reb is finally wondering why she was ever hooked on Trey as Eric is clearly the one for her. She begins to see him differently and you watch them fall for each other, pretty fast. After everything these two have been through, they found love together and a happy ending.

As we all know, Olivia Cunning knows how to write steaming hot sex scenes and Erics book was no exception. We see Eric and Reb live out fantasies, sex games and jrhvjfevkjnk I love the porny porn porn sexxxxx. You will be fanning yourself, wanting to jump the next guy you see and…well you know the rest!

Although I am utterly devastated that Sinners on Tour is now over (I can now read them in order), there is Trey’s brother, Dare’s band’s books that Olivia is writing! Fingers crossed that the Sinners get some airtime so we know how they are 😉 hint hint!

This week The Book Lovers is featuring Jace Seymour from the Sinner on Tour series by Olivia Cunning.

Alex-Pettyfer-girlfriend

Alex Pettyfer is my Jace

Jace Seymour. What can I say about you? You are the bassist of Sinners, the quiet one, the reserved one, the one who doesnt really say anything but underneath all that he is fighting his past. He needs to feel pain to make it go away and to remind him of who he was and what he did. None of the band really know who he is and thats becuase he fears they will throw him out and the band means everything to him, so he keeps quiet.

He doesn’t crave attention like the other members, he’s just there to play great music.

He likes pain, as I;ve already mentioned. He visits Doms to make them cuase him pain and one espeically named Aggie. Although Aggie started off as his Dom, they fall in love and that scares Jace, who in turn tries to push her away, to much avail, he doesnt. She lets him now its okay to open up to her about his past.

Because of his past, Jace also feels that he’s not good enough. Not good enough for the band, not good enough to be loved; none of this is true. The band absolutely adore him and only tease him because they love him and this proves that he is loved by everyone in his life. As he didn’t really have a childhood, he had to grow up fast and so by all the teasing, he feels that he’s not wanted, but that is not true and Aggie eventually gets through to him that the band love him and that’s why they tease him.

Your heart will break at Jaces past but you will feel proud of him for opening up and overcoming them with the help of Aggie, who is there every step of the way. He begins stronger, he begins to talk more and express his opinions to the band and you can see just how much the band love him, how it wouldnt be the Sinners without Jace.

So this is why Jace is my Mancandy this week. He overcomes so much in this book that my heart clung to him and now it wont let go. Not that i would want that to, because Jace is such a bloody cutie that he deserves a hell of a lot of love!

Alex-Pettyfer-alex-pettyfer-34064609-600-821If you haven’t read the utterly sexy series that is Sinners of Tour, then check out my reviews HERE.

(the forth book is currently being read, as they were published out of order due to the publishers thinking Trey’s books would be more popular being published 3rd, as his book was last. But now they are all out, there’s no need to not read them ;). Anyway, my review of book 4 should be posted this week or next)

ARC: Hot Ticket (Sinners on Tour #3) – Olivia Cunning

12710035Synopsis

There are things in bassist Jace Seymour’s past that he is unwilling to share with anyone. To cover his guilt and anguish, he seeks dominatrix Mistress V (Aggie) to temporarily placate his inner turmoil.

Aggie doesn’t have much use for men–besides the power rush she gets when they’re begging for mercy at her feet–but Jace isn’t like her usual clients. His cool defiance and unexpected dominance in the bedroom drives her to distraction and quickly steals her heart.

When circumstances threaten Jace’s position in Sinners, Aggie must help him regain his rightful place in the band while showing him that time and love can heal all wounds.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

My Review

There are things in his past that he just doesn’t want to share with anyone and so to take away the guilt, Jace Seymour likes to feel pain by being punished. One night he seeks out Aggie, who is Dominatrix Mistress V to temporarily make him forgot for a while.

Aggie doesn’t really like men; she thinks they are all sleazy. She gets a power rush when they are at her feet, begging her for mercy. But when she spots Jace, he isn’t like any of her usual clients. He doesn’t scream when she hits him, he just stands there and takes it with a hard exterior. Because of this, she knows he’s got a closet full of secrets and pushing away her list of guys, she is slowly falling for the quiet one of the band. She wants to help him through his past and show him that he is loved by everyone including herself and he deserves to be happy after feeling guilty for so long.

Hot Ticket is Jace’s story. The quiet one of the band. The one who doesn’t let anyone in and fears if he did, they wouldn’t want him in the band anymore so he keeps quiet. Before Hot Ticket, I hadn’t really thought much of Jace. He seems to keep to himself so you never really knew much about him in the other two books (I’m disregarding Double Time, which is meant to be book five even though it was released as book three) but in his book you can see how much the band means to him and how much music is such a big part of his life that he wouldn’t know what to do without it. He doesn’t crave attention like the other members, he’s just there to play great music.

Oliva Cunning did a great job in writing Jace’s character. You kind of know from the first two books that Jace likes to be hit – to feel pain but you never really know why until now. In Rock Hard, when they are in the strip club for Brian’s stag night and Sed says he sees Jace go towards the girl with a whip and in leather – that is Aggie. He seeks her out in return to cover up his guilt and anguish over his childhood and his demons that he has locked away all his life.

Jace has things from his past that he would sooner forget and by visiting dominatrix’s, they can stop his turmoil, if only for a few minutes. When he sees Aggie, he knows he must have her inflict pain on him but he never thought that she would worm her way into his heart and try to help him through his past.

Aggie likes her job at the strip club. She likes being a Dom as it gives her power over the clients she has. She likes having them beg for mercy. She doesn’t like men and has two lists. List A: Men not worth my time and List B: Men I’d like to fuck. All of the men have been in List A, but then when she spots Jace, he’s the first man to be put into List B and possibly her new list, List C: Men I can’t instantly label. Aggie could instantly see that Jace was hiding pain behind his calm exterior. He wanted pain, she gave it to him but in turn, her heart was fluttering for him, which never happens to her with clients.

She’s there for Jace and helps him open up about his past. Even with him attempting to push her away in some scenes, she never leaves him as she is completely head over heels for him and she knows he loves her too, even if he can’t show his emotions or feelings because of his past. She shows him so much love and shows him it’s okay to bare his soul and past to her, she’s not going anywhere. It was great that Aggie stood her ground with Jace and slowly, he began to tell her the pain of his past and the scars of his heart. These scenes were quite emotional to read, as I began to really love Jace so by reading about his anguish over his past and reading what happened, they pulled my heartstring and made me want to climb into my kindle and give him a massive hug.

It was fantastic to see how much progress Jace had done with telling Aggie about his past to showing his emotions to her in front of the band. It made me so proud of him to come out of his shell and let go of the guilt he’s felt for so many years. And it’s all thanks for Aggie.

Now for someone who isn’t a fan of BSDM (I just about got through with 50 Shades) it drew me in with the descriptions of what was happening and what both Jace and Aggie were doing to each other. It wasn’t heavy going and it didn’t make me want to skip it. I knew when I read the synopsis I was either going to love or hate this book because of the BDSM but I loved it. The sex was utterly smoking hot!! Olivia definitely knows how to write a sex scene to make you all flustered when reading it and it’s the same in Hot Ticket. Although there was less sex in this book than the others, it definitely doesn’t mean that the scenes were any less inadequate than the other three books because holy moly it wasn’t. Jace and Aggie had such great chemistry and they were so perfect for one another.

From the first two books (and the last) Jace has always looked up to Eric (You’ll know why in this book) – the drummer of the band – and in Hot Ticket, you finally see why that is. Eric calls Jace ‘Little Man’ because he’s the smallest and youngest of the band. Jace feels that Eric saved his life all those years ago and so he’s been Eric’s biggest fan since. They have a strange relationship as Eric can be a bit of an arsehole to Jace but you find out that really, Eric thinks of Jace as his best friend in the band. It was the cutest line ever in this book between the two and although Jace was still understanding how much the band really did love him, it was hard for him to believe but he got there in the end. I cannot wait for Eric’s book and to see how this friendship develops.

I loved Hot Ticket. It possesses hot sex, demons, guilt, love and of course drama. But with The Sinners there is always so drama 😉 it wouldn’t be them without it. I love Olivia Cunning and her books and if you haven’t read any of The Sinner’s books yet, then click on Olivia Cunning in my category dropdown box on the side and get reading my reviews. You will be panting just to get your hands on these books!

When Eric’s book is out, I am definitely planning to re-read all the books in order.

Thanks to Netgalley for supplying me with an ARC copy of Hot Ticket via the publisher in return for an honest return.

Double Time (Sinners on Tour #5) – Olivia Cunning

12710106Synopsis

Trey Mills, the notoriously sexy Sinners rhythm guitarist, gives up his bisexual lifestyle and is swept into a hot, heady romance with Reagan Elliot, a female rock star sensation. But when Trey encounters Reagan’s sexy bisexual roommate, Ethan Conner, he can no longer deny who he is or what he wants. Reagan heartily agrees to a solution that opens up a hot new world of sexual experience–and love–with the two men she wants the most.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————

My Review

As many of you should know if you have read Backstage Pass and Rock Hard I ABSOLUTELY LOVE trey so of course it would be inevitable that i would need to read this book, and holy moly i was not disappointed at all!

Trey Mills, the super sexy guitarist of Sinners is changing his bisexual lifestyle and is entering into a hot and fast romance with a new female rock star sensation, Reagan Eliot. But when Trey is introduced to Reagan’s roommate, Ethan, who so happens to be bisexual, he can’t deny who he is or what he wants anymore, even though he loves Reagan, he wants Ethan too! Reagan comes up with a solution that will more than likely thrill everyone involved and it opens all three of them into a new world of sexual experiences and love, between the three of them.

WOW! Seriously, my love for Trey has reached higher levels. It was great to see him instantly fall in love with a girl, as throughout both previous books, he has tend to favour the male specimen a bit more than the females, so when Reagan appears, he is instantly attracted to her and so is she to him. She can hold her ground around Trey and they have the most unbelievably funny banter and sexual banter than I have ever read. They were just perfect for each other.

Then enter sexy Ethan. Trey can’t deny his attraction to him and good on him because Reagan comes up with a solution that means all three of them can be together. The dynamic of their relationship works out really well. They all fall in love with each other, and it was such a sweet and steamy story to read. I did think the m/m would make me a bit uncomfortable, but in no way did it. It was written to perfection and the threesomes focused on all the characters pleasures, so no one was left out.

Trey will always have my heart and be my favourite sinner, so for him to get his happy ever after, with both a male and female, was great to read. The three of them seemed so happy together and at the end of the day, no one can say anything if it works for them, you can’t help who you love, and if you love two guys, or a guy and a girl, or two girls, then it’s absolutely fine with me, as long as you have great sex! Haha.

The sex scenes were out of this world. I forgot how to breathe reading them as I couldn’t put my kindle down when they were having sex. Whether it was just two of them or all three, they all gave each other pleasure and left no one out. The sex scene in the Dungeon was…Whewwww, I had to fan myself down but you could totally see a physical and emotional attraction steaming from each person to the other two. You could really see the love emit from everyone too, and it made each other so happy that they were a three piece.

The only thing that made me sad about this book is that it seems to actually be the last in the series, as you get snippets of Jace and Eric’s love life, even though their books aren’t out yet. Not that it bothered me hugely, as it made me excited to read their stories, but when they are all out, I will be reading it in order and becoming excited about Sinners all over again !!

If you haven’t heard or read The Sinner’s books so far, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Go download them now and start them. They are seriously sexy, the sex scenes will make you want to be hosed down to cool off and you will fall in love with each character and understand their story. Brilliant books!

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————

My Review.

I have to be honest, I didn’t really get in to Sed’s story as much as Backstage Pass, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy getting to understand Sed more, as you find out a bit about his personal life in the first book with Jessica.

From the synopsis, you kind of have a back story about their relationship – Jessica and Sed were engaged, but she broke it off because Sed didn;t want her going to Law school. The rest of the band despise her for breaking his heart.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances including the band and Jessica on Brian’s Stag night, Jessica ends up working for Myra and her project, meaning her and Sed have to spend a lot of time together and of course, if you’ve read the first book, its inevitable that Sed and Jessica become fuck buddies as such, Jessica wanting to use him and Sed wanting her back.

The sex scenes were really steamy, and I loved the public sex scenes, especially the one at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas.
The ending is sweet, with the band forgiving Jessica and helping Sed plan out how to get a ring back on Jessica’s finger, but Jessica has other ideas. You’ll have to read it to find out what happens.

I did panic at one part of the book where Trey is rushed into hospital due to what happens earlier in the book – which i wont spoil for you, but all is good throughout the book with him. If you read my review on Backstage Pass, you can see I have a soft spot for Trey.

Anyway, as much as this wasn’t my favourite book, its a good way to understand Sed and why he is why he is from the first book.

The third book is called Double Time, which now tells the story of Trey which should be out sometime this week – which i cant wait for.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

My review

I’d been seeing this book about for a couple of weeks but I wasn’t really too bothered about reading it as nowadays there seems to be erotica everywhere since the uprising of 50 Shades. Although i love smutty books, i did decide to buy it for my kindle last night and see what the fuss was about – also i decided that it would be the only book from the series i would buy – this turned out to be a lie as i REALLY need to read the other member’s stories now! Especially Trey as i did fall a tiny bit in love with him.

At the start i did think it would be sex, sex, sex (which it is) but there is so much more to that book than that.
There’s Brian, who always falls head over hells too quickly for any girlfriend then gets his heartbroken and then there’s Myrna who’s been heartbroken and divorced from an abusive relationship and who finds it hard to love since her ex threw the words around meaninglessly at her.

I love that it was Brian who was the ‘romantic’ one of the relationship – it makes a change from the girl being tied to that spot especially as hes a rock star so you would think they had no feelings attached to them and they would be the ones disregarding the girls, but it wasn’t like that. Myrna didn’t want anything, she wanted a fling and then that be it, but bit by bit Brian kind of broke down her defenses and let her see that although love can be terrifying, he was in it for the long haul (as you can tell throughout the book – i loved him and felt sorry for him at times but i could see why Myrna was afraid)

It did annoy me when he said the L-word and she was like “I was waiting for you to say it.” Seriously? I know you’re afraid of loving someone but girls can say I Love You first – I sure as hell have done.

Other than that, I’d totally recommend this book to my friends – if they were into smut
