This week The Book Lovers is featuring Brody Adams from April Fools – Karli Perrin

My Brody is Dan Conn

Yes, yes, he doesnt have two arm sleves but pfft. This guy is who i imagine as Brody, so just imagine him with another arm full of tattoos.

So we were introduced to this hunk of a man in April Fools (#2). Brody is Aprils older brother. He is filled to the brim with tattoos. He drives a motorbike, he’s cocky, flirty and sexy, he attracts a hoard of women, and he’s in a band and plays guitar but underneath that is a brother who adores his sister, who comes to visit her to see she is okay after her house fire. You can see that they have a close relationship and they love each other a lot. They have been through a lot with their mother and that is enough to make siblings close.

I loved Brody from the get-go. He really is sweet, despite the things that come out of his mouth, and you can see that he just wants to make sure April is okay and she is now safe. They banter and argue like any brother and sister do, but they also habour the pain of their alcoholic mother, whom Brody now tries to look after since April moved away to university.

Brody approves of Isaac, and can see he is good for his little sister and while staying with April, he begins to fall for April’s roommate and friend Lucy. I loved the two of them together, their banter, the jealousy but when Brody;s band gets signed up, he has to leave. There is a point in the book, at the end, where you know something has hapened between Lucy and Brody, as Lucy habours something from Brody close to her heart. I would love a bookon these two, to see what happened behind the scenes we didnt see and also to see what happened in the months Brody was away as their conversation seemed to just stop.

There is always room for another bad boy with a soft exterior underneath, and Brody is that!
