Their worlds collided in Leave Me Breathless. Now see how the sparks first flew for Ghost and Macy…

She knew he was trouble from the moment she first laid eyes on him, but that doesn’t stop Macy from taking a wild ride with Ghost when he invites her along. Something about him intrigues her. Just by hanging out with him, though, she’s drawn into a scandal she doesn’t see coming and faces a decision that might alienate him and several people she holds dear.

Timing is everything…and theirs couldn’t be more off.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a short prequel to Leave Me Breathless that takes place during the events of Rock Me. It’s not meant to stand alone.

My Review

Breathe Me In is a prequel to the book Rock Me and sets the story for Leave Me Breathless. If you have read Rock Me then you will know that Macy – Candace’s friend and Ghost – Brian’s friend had a bit of a fumble in the back of his car. The details of that certain event is something we do not know about, hence why Cherrie Lynn has been kind enough to let us in and let us know exactly what happened that night.

This review is going to be short but sweet. Leave Me Breathless is my favourite book of the ‘Ross’ series. Although Ghost is no relation to the ‘Ross’ family, he is Brian’s best friend and has known him for years. The prequel starts with Seth’s POV. There is something about Macy that hes attracted to. He doesn’t know what, but it started when Candace and her walked through the tattoo parlours door (Back in Rock Me) and he found her beautiful. He knows shes intrigued by him too; by the way she was watching him.

Macy had a back accident a few years ago and so the once carefree girl now plays it safe, in life and in love. She is a strong, independent woman but she has all these feelings coming to the surface for Ghost and she doesn’t want it, but she does at the same time. She has this love/hate relationship with herself. Shes as intrigued by Ghost and so when they swap numbers and begin to spend time together, there is definitely something there between them.

Over the course of the book, we watch Macy and Ghost become friends. They only seem to hang out after dark, talking in his or her car, going for drives, talking on the phone and texting and yano, the one scene we have all been dying to know about! The sex in the car between the two of them.

Macy was the instigator of that certain scene. YES MACY! But she has a spunk to her, a spark and although we know about her worries for Candace being with Brian, she is trying to make herself live life, stop being boring and although she doesn’t want to be attracted to Ghost, she is and hes the perfect person to help her live her life.

Rock Me should be read first, as Breathe Me In overlinks with that book, as some scenes are added and expanded from Ghost and Macy’s POVs. We see more of Candace and Brian’s relationship, and we see the friendship and flirtiness of Ghost and Macy.

I was just expecting Cherrie to give us the car scene and that be it…how wrong was i? We see so much more to Ghost and Macy’s relationship. We see it blossom over time, we see their chemistry and we see their turmoil. BUT the car sex, by god that was hot, like seriously hot. How can Macy just walk away from that? I wouldn’t let him go at all.

The ending has made me re-read Leave Me Breathless straight away and dive back into the story of Ghost and Macy, reading their journey once more. I can’t get enough of Ghost, he is the ultimate babe. Where can I find him and his sexiness and his potty mouth?

The ending isn’t a happy one, but it leads you straight into Leave Me Breathless, so if you haven’t read this series yet, what are you waiting for? You will definitely love the Ross Siblings and the heroines and of course, all the steamy sex that is featured along with the great storylines. Get reading them now!
