Waiting on Wednesday: The Wedding Night.

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine. It’s a weekly event that allows all us book bloggers and lovers to talk about what upcoming book we’re most looking forward to reading

My book this week is:-

16071628Sophie Kinsella – The Wedding Night.
Release date: April 23rd 2013

Lottie just knows that her boyfriend is going to propose during lunch at one of London’s fanciest restaurants. But when his big question involves a trip abroad, not a trip down the aisle, she’s completely crushed. So when Ben, an old flame, calls her out of the blue and reminds Lottie of their pact to get married if they were both still single at thirty, she jumps at the chance. No formal dates—just a quick march to the altar and a honeymoon on Ikonos, the sun-drenched Greek island where they first met years ago.

Their family and friends are horrified. Fliss, Lottie’s older sister, knows that Lottie can be impulsive—but surely this is her worst decision yet. And Ben’s colleague Lorcan fears that this hasty marriage will ruin his friend’s career. To keep Lottie and Ben from making a terrible mistake, Fliss concocts an elaborate scheme to sabotage their wedding night. As she and Lorcan jet off to Ikonos in pursuit, Lottie and Ben are in for a honeymoon to remember, for better . . . or worse.

I’ve mentioned in past posts that Sophie Kinsella is one my of favourite authors. I have every book of hers and they never fail to make me love them and her even more. So I am super excited for The Wedding Night to come out so I can grab my copy of it.

  1. Ohhh one of my friends is waiting for this one as well! She’s going to London in two months time so she siad she was going to wait to buy it over there as a reward for working so hard in school this semester :). I hope you enjoy the book when it comes out!

      1. Ahaha she does as well 🙂 She actually has a signed copy of one of Kinsella’s books :). I haven’t read anything by her, but Remember Me sounded like a really interesting one!

      2. Ahhh I’m so jealous! I’d love a signed copy of any of her books! YES, you should totally read Remember Me, its such a great book 🙂 And I;ve Got Your Number is amazing too !

      3. I’ll definitely add those to my forever growing tbr pile :). I know my friend has Remember Me so I might ask her if I could borrow it :). Are you a fan Celia Ahern’s stuff as well?

      4. Hahah oh i know that feeling. The list is never ending. I try to get through a book a day but then i just add 10 more onto my TBR list. Yeah, definitely read it, its soooo good! I am a fan of Celia Ahern. Havent read any of her books in ages though. May need to revisit a few soon haha.

      5. YES! P.S I Love You is one of my favs – Not a fan of the film though. And Where Rainbows End was great too. I got One Hundred Names for Xmas, which i need to read sometime soon haha.Yeah, I really liked the Shopaholic movie, did you like it?

      6. Ohh the movie was so DISAPPOINTING. I just couldn’t understand why they had to move the story to New York. I haven’t heard of One Hundred Names…I should look it up on goodreads now. I actually haven’t seen the Shopaholic movie lol. Another thing I should probably watch :P.

      7. I know 😦 Its an IRISH book, at least set it in Ireland! I’ve never watched it since haha. LOL yeah, its a good film. I love Isla Fisher and shes bloody great in it!

      8. Yeah I refuse to watch Hilary Swank as Holly. Not that she’s a bad actress she was awesome in Million Dollar Baby, but just as Holly…no.

I’ll let you know if I like the Shopaholic movie when I do watch it :).

      9. Yeah, same. She just wasnt my Holly at all plus they changed like everything in the movie, so i just cant watch it. I hate it when movie producers do that. Ooo yeah, let me know if you like it 🙂

  2. I love Sophie Kinsella and I’m excited about this one, too. I actually just heard about it in the past few weeks, I don’t know where I was hiding!

    1. It sounds soooo good doesn’t it?! shame about the price though. I hope they put it down to something I can actually afford as I really don’t want to spend £15 on an ebook if I’m being honest.
