My Review
Art Gallery coordinator Elle Walser is looking for love with someone safe after being burned by her ex – who used and dumped her. Although she has no feelings as such for her boss Nathan, she feels he is a safe option for her. After months of dropping hints, to no avail, she decides one night, to climb into her boss’s bed and seduce him…problem is, she accidently seduces a sexy stranger instead. The stranger being Nathan’s brother, Gabe.
Gabe is the epitome of the bad boys that Elle wants to stay clear of. Tattoos, big and muscular, a cliché of some sorts with his car and the bars he enjoys going to, but when Elle slips into his bed, she’s not the typical girl he goes for, but there is something about her that he can’t seem to let go. Thing is, as much as Elle thinks he’s not worthy of knowing her, he’s a very successful business man, owning a tattoo parlour and numerous nightclubs, making him a very rich man, despite his ‘looks’.
Then the real action starts. Prim and Proper Elle is a total bitch to Gabe, telling him she wants nothing to do with him but Gabe is persistent, looking to break down the barrier that Elle seems to have up. And that’s all her mother’s fault for the way Elle acts and how she is picky with guys as her mother is constantly trying to set her up with ‘reliable’ guys, so that’s why she has her mind set on picking a safe guy.
You could tell they had so much chemistry between them, even when Elle was still resisting Gabe. This story is filled with misconceptions, misunderstandings, love and acceptance. It was a great story and my favourite part of the book wasn’t the sex, but when Gabe took care of Elle when she had an allergy reaction and he was too afraid to leave her alone in fear something would happen to her. It really touched my heart that he would do that when she had been a complete bitch to him during the few days they had known each other. It just proves how much he really wanted to know her, and how much he liked her for him to take care of her like that.
